3d_plantar-pain.jpgPlantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the plantar fascia, usually caused by excessive stretching to the area.  The excessive stretching can be caused by over-pronation, excessive weight bearing by the foot, high arch, or a sudden increase in activity.

The actual cause for the condition helps to determine the proper foot bed to use.  If over-pronation is the cause, then a foot-bed with rearfoot and longitudinal arch support is appropriate.  If a high arch is the cause, then a foot bed with either a firm arch support or heel cushion is appropriate.
