Samsung Electronics has invested $10 million in the development of nano Silver Technology. After years of research and development, the Samsung Corporation has successfully electrolyzed pure silver and encapsulated the nano-sized silver ions. These environmentally friendly ions safely and effectively kill most pathogens, yeasts, fungi, mold and mildew. This new encapsulated nano silver is not in direct contact with the skin and provides effective and complication free treatment.

Poly-Gel has signed a distribution agreement with Samsung to offer this next generation in nanotechnology. This new innovative antimicrobial and antibacterial fabric will be marketed under the brand name SilverTecc. The SilverTecc fabric places the encapsulated anti-microbial nano silver particles below the fabric to provide the lowest coefficient of friction, greatest reduction of shear, and superior durability.
